Built through Boardrooms and Businesses
An Intentional Path to Chief of Staff
Seeking a full-time CoS role
Accepting new fractional clients
I spent the first decade of my career working directly alongside some of the most ambitious leaders I've known, including as executive assistant to the CEO of a TSX-listed, dividend-paying energy company with over $500M in annual revenue. The role went well beyond scheduling and support. I coordinated materials for quarterly earnings calls, investor relations correspondence, press releases, and board meetings. I tracked multiple simultaneous M&A processes and sat in on high-stakes deal and strategy meetings, including the orchestration of cross-country roadshows. I managed a complex calendar spanning multiple time zones, board seats, private equity investors, and cross-industry relationships in addition to complex family logistics, international private travel, plus unique and exclusive experiences. I also oversaw the family estate coordination with all appropriate professionals. My proudest achievement was leading the organizing committee for a fundraising event that became one of Canada's highest-earning single-night events of its kind. That decade taught me how high-stakes decisions actually get made, how much operational discipline sits underneath good leadership, and set a standard for precision and accountability I've carried into every role since.
From there, I moved into operations at a high-growth, tech-first media company. The chaos was different, but the pace was just as fast. The structure wasn't there yet. I built and owned the company's OKR system, translating executive priorities into operational plans that drove alignment and accountability across teams. I oversaw 250+ global content partners, including Fortune 500 and international organizations like Netflix, Hasbro, Mattel, and Spin Master, and served as Product Owner for two custom enterprise platforms built to support that partner network and all internal operational staff. Along the way, I cut partner payout processing time by more than 95%, reduced content launch delays by up to 83%, and helped drive 1,414% viewership growth as the content library expanded 49% year over year.
Those years led me into entrepreneurship, where I put everything I'd learned into practice on my own businesses. To date, I've operated three small businesses and exited two, including building one from the ground up and completing an acquisition. I've managed teams of 10, including hiring, onboarding, and a full restructure, and held full P&L ownership, budget, financial performance, contracts, and vendor relationships across businesses generating mid-six-figure annual revenue. This life-MBA has given me hands-on experience that translates directly into value for my future clients and employers.
Today, I'm ready to bring my full range of experience, corporate and entrepreneurial, to a founder or executive whose organization is ready for its next stage of growth.
